remodeling

the portfolio section has been taken down and is slowly being remodeled with a new feel. all updates throughout the next few weeks are done live so you can see what is going, or most likely what is falling apart. we all learn new things everyday and this website is just another building block that we experiment with. i remember always wanting and working for a final layout that was only in my head, and realized sooner or later you just have to take the first step. one can have thousands of ideas, but they won’t go anywhere if you don’t start somewhere. this site may have been that first step for a few of us, and it may be a small one at that, but it’s a step nevertheless. i am proud to see progress and hope to bring much more consistent work in the coming months.

de-construction of the portfolio section

you might have noticed the portfolio section of the site with my (andrew kim’s) works since the launch of the site. the concept of urban.construkt has evolved and i have been meaning to take that down and upload collective pieces created with my colleagues. in the upcoming weeks i will be preparing to migrate all my pieces with new works to a separate website while the the u|c portfolio is update with present projects we have been working on. we will eventually find time to update the downloadable excess as well with a few surprises.

what’s new?
the forums have been purged nearly all the way along with exception to a few recent posts. i personally felt the boards were going in the wrong direction from what i had intended and don’t care if only a few of us exist now. anybody is welcome to join, but this forum is nothing more than a portal for ideas, discussions, and work between friends. a simple online lounge to gather our thoughts during our off time.

a new contributor to the blog has been added and i am currently awaiting his first post.

marija will be shooting photos this weekend for a website and downtown cleaners website coming up shortly afterwards as well.

weekend wedding shoot

the wedding shoot this weekend went well overall and gave us a chance to work with jason weiler. lending us a hand with two hd video cameras, it will probably be one of the only times we walk into a wedding armed with 4 cameras shooting.

cmt entertainment’s website has begun and should be out the door in a few weeks. the u|c blog can now be reached at theurbanbloc.com (bloc [blok] -noun a group of persons, businesses, etc., united for a particular purpose.) a few new collab pieces are finally beyond the brainstorming phase and things are running a little smoother, for now…
